Repair & general overhaul

Alongside used spare parts we offer repaired and fully overhauled engines, gearboxes and transfer cases.

As soon as there is any suspicion that a part has defects — this may be visible irregularities, leaking fluids or a lack of compression — it is examined thoroughly and repaired where necessary. For repairs we use exclusively the parts recommended by the respective manufacturer. We also adhere strictly to the installation specifications and have all work carried out by qualified specialists.

In a full overhaul, an engine or gearbox is stripped down completely into its individual components and rebuilt from the ground up. This also includes reconditioning the part, repairing worn components and replacing defective ones.

In the case of a fully overhauled replacement engine, our standard procedure includes the following work, for example:

• Disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
• Measuring and polishing the crankshaft, grinding it if required
• Honing or re-sleeving the cylinders if required
• Inspection of connecting rods and pistons, replacement if required
• Inspection of the oil pump, overhaul/replacement if required
• Skimming the cylinder head
• Machining the valve seats, replacement if required
• Lapping and adjusting the valves
• Replacement of all wearing parts: main bearings, big-end bearings, piston rings, shaft seals, cylinder head gasket with bolts, valve stem seals
• Painting the cylinder block, engine block and oil pan
• Reassembly of the engine
• Fitting a new timing belt kit or timing chain if required
• Compression test

If you decide on a fully overhauled engine or gearbox, we need your original part that is no longer working. In that case you arrange the installation once you have received the replacement, then get in touch with us and we will take care of collecting the old part.
